Haiti Relief Shelter Box Project:  To see the contents of a shelter box go to: http://www.shelterbox.org/.  Our club is raising funds to supply one or more boxes which are needed immediately.  Donations may be mailed to our P.O. Box 204, made payable to Hermosa Beach Rotary Foundation, or dropped by the building during the Tuesday meeting.  As of 2/28/10 we have collected enough funds for two boxes.  Call 310-379-6397 for more information.

Lunch is delivered by a variety of local businesses.
 
Building rental information:  Capacity 86, tables and seating for 60, chairs available 85,
rental fee $500/day plus $50 deposit refundable only up to 14 days prior to event,
and a $100 refundable cleaning fee. Available 8 AM to 11 PM.

March:  Literacy Month

Speaker:  Don De Maderios, Hermosa Beach Commissioner of Parks and Recreation, will speak on the Hermosa Beach Mural Project.  Come learn more about this exciting "happening" in Hermosa Beach, and how you can play a part in making our city more beautiful.

Speaker:  Alex Benke of the South Bay Coalition will speak about how local groups can collaborate to reduce or eliminate the problem of youth substance abuse.  Come learn how we can help.

Today we honor Students of the Month James Beck and Alexandra Hanson.  Selected on the basis of Service Above Self, Citizenship, adherence to the 4-Way Test, and scholarship, these two students exemplify the best our youth have to offer.  Come see them receive their awards and hear a little about them from their parents.
